How to tell us

Frames bought on this website, on their own or with prescription lenses, can be sent back within 14 days of the day you receive them. You do not have to say why. This is the legal right of withdrawal. We do not add extra days on top of it.

Email office@augustin-fresnel.com before the 14 days end. A clear sentence is enough. You can use the form below. Sending the email in time is what keeps the right alive, even if the parcel arrives a few days later.

Then send the frame to XYLEN EYEWEAR S.R.L., Str. Vlad Județul nr. 18, camera 1, sector 3, București, România, 031308. Do not ship it cash on delivery. You pay the postage, unless the frame was wrong or faulty. Trying the frame on is fine. Send it back with the case, cloth, and papers it arrived with.

The refund

We refund the price you paid for the frame, on the same card, within 14 days of your email. We may wait until the frame is back, or until you show it was posted. We do not refund a return postage you chose to pay. If we sent the wrong frame, or a faulty one, we also cover the reasonable cost of sending it back.

What we do not take back under this right

Lenses made to your prescription are custom-made to your specification and are excluded from this right of withdrawal (Article 16(c) of Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014). A frame ordered with lenses can still be returned: send it back with the lenses in it, and we refund the frame price, not the lens price. Withdrawal cannot be refused. The refund may be reduced only for a loss of value from handling beyond what is needed to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. Trying the frame on is fine.

If the lenses are wrong

If the lenses do not match your order or the prescription you entered, email office@augustin-fresnel.com and say what is wrong. This is not a withdrawal and has no 14-day limit. It falls under the 2-year legal guarantee. We tell you how to send the glasses, and we pay the postage. The workshop checks them. If the lenses are wrong, we remake them. If they cannot be remade, we refund the lens price.
